Don Antonio Giovannini: ” Uno dei grossi problemi della zona di Koman è la difficoltà nelle comunicazioni.
Per andare in alcuni villaggi dopo alcune ore in auto, devo prendere una barca per attraversare un lago e quindi camminare su sentieri:
in questi piccoli villaggi celebro la Messa, amministro i sacramenti e sto con le persone per parlare con loro, per ascoltare i loro problemi”.
L’Albania, terra bellissima, ha molto da offrire, in modo particolare vicino al mare, ma nell’entroterra, non ci sono le stesse risorse.
Don Giovannini è un parroco che per davvero segue i fedeli e non ama la vita comoda:
“Sono parroco a Koman, un paesino nella diocesi di Scutari, al confine con il Kossovo. Vi abitano circa 500 persone”.
Conosce e vive la realtà dal vivo e vedendo quanto accade ha cercato di coinvolgere altre realtà del mondo cattolico:
Durante la mia presenza a Scutari invitai in quel luogo il Circolo Acli di Cernusco sul Naviglio.
Da quella occasione di incontro, con un po’ di fortuna (e a grazia di Dio), nacque l’opportunità di coinvolgere le Acli provinciali di Milano e della Lombardia
sulla realizzazione di diversi progetti sociali e occupazionali per la popolazione locale
attraverso il coinvolgimento di IPSIA (Istituto Pace Sviluppo Innovazione Acli) la ONG delle Acli per la cooperazione internazionale, che tuttora continua ad operare in Albania.
L’analisi lucida e concreta del don, chiarisce che ci sono stati tanti aiuti, ma bisognerebbe spingere su attività locali:
“i migliori tendono a migrare, perché l’Albania offre poche possibilità.
L’unica via per migliorare le proprie condizioni di vita e della propria famiglia è ancora quella di migrare”.
Il messaggio della Chiesa italiana è importante ma “l’importante è che la Chiesa albanese diventi autonoma.
Per fortuna adesso ci sono giovani preti albanesi che hanno voglia di fare e di servire la chiesa e la gente.
Ho notato che c’è nella gente sete di conoscenza.
Dopo decenni di dittatura, la gente vuole approfondire la fede che, magari di nascosto dalla polizia segreta, i genitori hanno trasmesso”.
Don Giovannini esterna il suo pensiero senza remore come è giusto che sia un credente che arde dalla voglia di catechizzare, sperando che un giorno non ci sia più bisogno di aiuti “esterni”.
